Diani · Wildlife Safari
Tsavo East and Tsavo West together make up one of Kenya’s largest protected areas. This safari starts at your Diani hotel, spends a night near the parks and returns you to the coast on day two, so it fits a short beach holiday that includes a taste of big-game country.
Day one begins with an early pickup and a long drive inland via Mombasa and the Nairobi highway towards Voi, so expect a good part of the day on the road. You enter the park, enjoy game drives in the afternoon and overnight at a lodge or camp near the park. Day two includes a morning game drive, a visit to the second park where time allows, and the drive back to Diani, usually arriving in the evening. Drive times depend on traffic and the route.
Elephants that look red from the dust, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, lion and many birds. Tsavo West has more varied scenery, with volcanic hills and springs. Sightings are never guaranteed.
Two days is a short trip for the distance. If you can spare more time, ask about our longer Tsavo and Amboseli options from Diani.

No. Wildlife is wild and sightings vary with season, weather and luck. Your driver-guide knows where to look and plans game drives around the best light.
It is a short trip because of the driving distance, but it works for a first taste of safari. Three or four days gives you much more time in the parks.
