How the four days work

Day one is Tsavo East, with game drives and an overnight at a park lodge or camp. Day two crosses into Tsavo West, with an afternoon game drive and, where time allows, an optional Mzima Springs walk to view hippo and fish underwater. Day three is the transfer to Amboseli, arriving for an afternoon drive; Amboseli's permanent swamps hold water year-round and support large elephant herds. Day four is a final, early Amboseli game drive — timed for the best chance of a clear Kilimanjaro view — before the return drive to the coast.
