The full circuit, minus the long drive from Nairobi

This is our most complete southern-Kenya itinerary — Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East in one trip — with the Nairobi–Voi leg replaced by the Madaraka Express, so the road driving is limited to the transfers between Voi and each park.

How the four days work

Day one is the train to Voi and the transfer into Amboseli, with an afternoon game drive. Day two continues to Tsavo West, with an optional Mzima Springs stop and an afternoon drive on arrival. Day three moves into Tsavo East for an afternoon game drive. Day four is a final Tsavo East drive before the transfer back to Voi for the return train.

The price shown is a guide per adult sharing a twin room, standard-class SGR tickets included both ways, full board across three nights and all three parks' fees.

Frequently asked questions

Is this cheaper or pricier than the road-trip version?

The train tickets add a little to the cost compared with the equivalent road-only itinerary, in exchange for a shorter, more comfortable outbound and return journey.

Can we do this route in the other direction?

The order is planned for efficient road transfers between parks; ask if you have a specific reason to reorder it.

Is the Mzima Springs walk included?

A stop is included where time allows; guided viewing may carry a small separate ranger fee.

Which SGR class is included?

Standard class; first class can be added for a supplement.
