Overview

The southern loop, starting and ending in Nairobi

Rather than a there-and-back trip, this itinerary loops through Kenya's three best-known southern parks — Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East — before returning to Nairobi, so no single leg of driving is repeated.

How the four days work

Day one covers the drive to Amboseli with an afternoon game drive. Day two is a further Amboseli drive before continuing to Tsavo West, arriving for an evening at your lodge. Day three explores Tsavo West's volcanic hills and, where time allows, the underwater viewing point at Mzima Springs, before continuing into Tsavo East. Day four is a final game drive across Tsavo East's open plains before the return to Nairobi.
