Overview
Tsavo East National Park is Kenya’s largest National Park covering an area of 11,700sq kms. It is across the highway from Tsavo West, located in Eastern and Coast Province, South East of Nairobi. It is a hot, waterless dry region with an annual rainfall of less than 51cm recorded, and has a large diversity of landscapes from the gorges of Lugard falls with its water carved rocks to the natural catchment at Muanda
Tsavo West National Park is a 9,000 sq km game park in southern Kenya, located about 200 km south-east of Nairobi. Separated only by the Mombasa/Nairobi road from Tsavo East, Tsavo West is part of the entire Tsavo eco-system.
Amboseli National Park is located in Loitokitok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The ecosystem, mainly savannah grassland, spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
