This is our benchmark Maasai Mara itinerary: the same open plains, river crossings and big-cat sightings as our budget camping version, from a luxury lodge or tented camp with en-suite rooms and a proper dining experience.

How the three days work

Day one is the drive (or flight, on request) from Nairobi with an afternoon game drive on arrival. Day two is a full day in the reserve, with morning and afternoon drives either side of a leisurely lunch back at the lodge. Day three is a final morning drive before the return to Nairobi.

The price shown is a guide per adult sharing a twin room, full board, based on a well-regarded lodge or luxury tented camp; the exact property and its rate depend on your dates and preferences, confirmed before payment. A flying safari version (Nairobi–Mara return by light aircraft) can be quoted in place of the road transfer.
